Mental Health Treatment Covered by GEHA Insurance
Research has proven the effectiveness of behavioral therapies for treating depression, substance use, trauma, and other mental health illnesses. It helps clients see how their thoughts and feelings control their actions. It also helps them learn how to replace negative thoughts and behaviors with positive ones.
Certain medications are approved by the Federal Drug & Food Administration (FDA) to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, depression symptoms, and much more. Medication can make recovery safer and allow clients to dedicate themselves to their treatment plan 100%.
Clients will participate in group and individual therapy to develop new coping skills and practice them with their peers. Group therapy also helps clients improve their communication skills and work on replacing any troubling behavior.
